Grand Knight’s Letter January 2020

Dear Brother Knights, Ladies and Families,

I hope everyone has had a joyful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior and continues to enjoy the entire Christmas season! Our council once again held Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. The entries were all beautiful and was very difficult to chose the winners. We had 38 total participants. The judges were myself, DGK andProgram Director Joe Bengel, and Family Director Terry Nurenberg. After much deliberation, the winners in the 5-7 year old category are: 1-Lydia Hegnesbach, 2-Andersen Cook, 3-Leah Kramer. The 11-14 category had these chosen: 1-Jenna Kramer, 2-Addisyn Smith, 3-Elyse Thelen. Thanks to all that participated in this important program that helps remind all of us wha the Christmas season is all about!

Also, in keeping with charity, our first order, I am pleased to say the council was able to take Christmas presents to the children at the St. Vincent home at Holy Cross Children Services in Saginaw again this year. Once again, the Well students provided the bulk of the presents to 35 children. The generosity of our community. Does not go unnoticed; the staff at Holy Cross was extremely happy in receiving these presents. Thanks to all who donated this year to make these children’s sad situations a little brighter this Christmas.

Fraternal Yours

//Paul Smith, Gran Knight..
